Un’intervista toccante che si è rivelata più delicata del previsto: nel mondo del windsurf il suo nome non ha bisogno di presentazioni. La recente notizia del suo nuovo progetto video ci ha offerto l’opportunità per una nuova intervista con il rider tedesco che sta conducendo la sua esperienza di windsurf verso nuovi limiti oltre questo sport: Andre Paskowski. (seconda parte, qui la prima parte)
RIW: In passato ti sei assunto i costi dei tuoi progetti video utilizzando le tue proprie risorse. Per i due ultimi film hai lasciato / chiesto al pubblico la possibilità di partecipare in qualche modo ai costi del progetto. Questa volta sei alla ricerca di alcuni sponsor / investitori. Ci puoi spiegare meglio questo cambiamento di strategia?
A.P.: Noi abbiamo dei Sostenitori ma stiamo cercando qualcosa di più, è vero. Persone private e aziende possono sostenere il progetto e guadagneranno interessanti opportunità di marketing. Purtroppo non ho potuto davvero spingere ultimamente a causa della mia operazione. Questo nuovo film non sarà gratis. Sarà disponibile ad un prezzo molto equo. Prezzo su diversi servizi come iTunes, ma anche in DVD e Blu Ray. Questo mi permette di rimettere un po’ di rischio privato/personale all’interno della produzione siccome ho calcolato che alcune persone investiranno qualche euro per guardare queste incredibili immagini.
RIW: Spendere i tuoi soldi per produrre un film di così alta qualità poi distribuito praticamente gratis: questa strategia potrebbe in qualche modo diminuire il valore del lavoro nel mercato della produzione dei film?
A.P.: Si, in parte è vero. Il problema in questo momento secondo me è piuttosto che si hanno film gratuiti ogni giorno. Spesso anche più di uno. Io non voglio troppo nuotare in questo stesso fiume. Voglio investire tempo, denaro e produrre una qualità eccellente. Internet è troppo rapido e veloce per consentire davvero un risultato eccellente. Quindi l’unico modo per me è quello di creare un film a pagamento. Dà al tutto un tocco più importante. Anche un tocco professionale. Inoltre, ci si sente veramente bene a tenere un DVD in mano o vederlo proiettato in tutto il mondo. Per esempio sul Lago di Garda. Vado in giro e guardo i miei film proiettati da anni. Milioni di persone li hanno visto in bar e negozi. Nulla di tutto questo mi sarebbe raggiunto senza denaro e senza stampare DVD.
RIW: Concentrandoci sui tuoi desideri e le tue vere intenzioni, perché hai personalmente investire così tanto in questa attività?
A.P.: il windsurf è la mia vita. Mi permette di viaggiare. Mi permette di usare il mio cervello. Io penso, vedo, parlo, lavoro … Se smetto questo … sì ho più tempo per rilassarmi per la mia salute. Ma che cosa ci guadagno? E’ importante non lasciare che la malattia ti controlli. La vita deve andare avanti. Ho bisogno di muovermi e creare dei filmati mi permette proprio tutto questo. Io amo la mia attrezzatura. Quando esamino i filmati sul mio computer li guardo tutti i giorni. E’ proprio così grande e incredibile quello che i riders sono in grado di fare. Questo mi da’ una vera e propria spinta a filmare e a vedere un buon risultato. E’ lo stesso come atterrare una nuova grande manovra.
RIW: in Magic Moments avresti voluto un giorno avere una tua famiglia. Quella scena è stata davvero toccante. Per quanto possiamo capire da facebook ora hai una fidanzata. Ci puoi confermare? Come l’hai conosciuta? I tuoi desideri sono stati ascoltati?
A.P.: l’ho incontra il giorno in cui Magic Moments è stato proiettato e premiato in Brasile sotto Palme. Quella stessa notte. Ci siamo connessi dal primo secondo. Ci siamo incontrati, abbiamo iniziato a giocare, abbiamo potuto comunicare con il nostro modo di parlare, abbiamo parlato di argomenti che ci interessano e su nulla di noioso, ma reale, così mi sono veramente attaccato a lei in breve tempo. Ma poi anche tutto il resto combacia molto bene. Lei è così forte mentalmente. Lei gestisce la mia situazione con tanta fiducia e coinvolgimento. E ‘incredibile. E ‘difficile da spiegare ma senza di lei potrei non essere in grado di rispondere a questa intervista. Incontrarla è stata la cosa migliore che mi potesse mai succedere ed io sono così felice. Ci conosciamo ormai da cinque mesi e non abbiamo avuto una volta una discussione. Abbiamo parlato di tutto. Passato, presente, il futuro è solo grande. L’ho già detto: sono felice. Davvero felice.

A touching interview which got more sensitive than forecasted: in the windsurf world his name does not need introductions. The recent news about his new video project got as opportunity for a new interview with this German rider who is driving his windsurf experience to new limits out of the sport: Andre Paskowski. (second part, here the first one)
RIW: In the past you took over the main cost charge of the projects using your own resources. For the two last movies you let/asked to the audience the opportunity to participate somehow to the project costs. This time you are looking for some sponsors/investors. May you explain more about this smooth strategy change?
A.P.: We do have Supporters but we are looking for more that’s right. Privet People and Companies can support and will gain interesting Marketing Opportunities. Unfortunately I could not really push here because of my Operation. This new Movie will be not for free. It will be available at a very fair Price on different Internet Services such as Itunes but also on DVD and Blue Ray. That allows me to again put a bit of private risk inside the production as I calculate that quite a few People will be Investing a few Euros to watch this Amazing Images.
RIW: Spending your money for producing a so high quality movie delivered basically for free: could it somehow decrease the work value on the market about movie making?
A.P.: Yes you are a bit right. The problem right now is more in my eyes that you have free movies every day. Mostly even more than one. I don’t want too much to swim in this same river. I want to invest time, money and produce a standout quality. The Internet is too quick and fast to really allow a standout. So the only way for me is to make it a Pay Movie. It gives the whole thing a more important touch. Also a professional touch. Also it feels real good to hold a DVD in Hand or see it playing around the world. For example Lake Garda. I go around and watch my movies running since years. Millions of people saw it in Bars and Shops. Nothing of this I would have achieved without charging Money and Printing DVD.
RIW: Focusing on your own wishes and intentions indeed, why did you invest personally so much in this activity?
A.P.: Windsurfing is my Life. It allows me to travel. It allows me to use my brain. I think, see, talk, work… If I stop this … yes I have more time to relax on my health. BUT what I gain? It is important to not let the Illness control you. Life has to go on. I need to move and Movie making allow me that. I love my Equipment. When I look at footage on my Computer I watch it every day. Just so great and amazing what Riders are able to do. It gives me a real kick to Film and see a good outcome. Same as landing a great new Move
RIW: in Magic Moments you wished one day to get your own family. That scene was really touching. As far as we can understand from facebook you have now a girlfriend. May you confirm? How did you meet her? Did your wishes get listened?
A.P.: I meet her the Day we screened Magic Moments and Rewarded in Brazil under Palm Trees. That same night. We connected from first second. We meet, we started to play games, we could communicate in our own way of talking, we talked about topics which interest me and her nothing boring but real so I felt really attached to her in a short time. But then everything else matches as well. She is so strong in mind. She handles my situation with so much confidence and power. It is amazing. It is hard to bring it all down on the point but without her I might not be able to write this Interview. That I met her was the best thing happen to me ever and I am so happy. We know each other now 5 month and we not once had an argument. We talked of everything. Past, Now, Future it is just great. I told you: I am happy. Really Happy
