RIWmag: il bilancio 2020 e gli auguri di fine anno
E’ stato un anno difficile, lento, pieno di ostacoli e imprevisti e non solo per il mondo del windsurf …
Abbiamo tutti dovuto adattarci e improvvisare per far fronte ad una nuova realta’ inimagginabile prima, o meglio, immaginabile solo in uno di quei film apocalittici in cui si prospetta la fine del mondo …
E se dobbiamo andare indietro con la memoria proprio a quei giorni in cui quasi un anno fa si incominciava a sentir parlare di Covid ma sembrava ancora una minaccia lontana, nel giro di pochi giorni ci siamo trovati travolti da questa tempesta proprio con la stessa impreparazione come mostrata nelle migliori trame cinematografiche …
Al primo lockdown abbiamo reagito con energia e creativita’ anche per un senso di responsabilita’ nei confronti del nostro pubblico, sia per intrattenerlo ma anche per dare un segno concreto che la vita deve andare avanti …
In tutta sincerita’ la stanchezza di tutte quelle energie spese per compensare le avversita’ della nuova quotidianita’, per compensare una vita che di colpo e’ diventata troppo virtuale e troppo poco reale, e un secondo lockdown accompagnato dal timore di nuove chiusure alternate nei prossimi mesi ci hanno fatto perdere l’ingenuita’ di poter tornare presto al nostro stile di vita pre covid …
Nonostante questo gusto amaro in bocca, ci piace ricordare che in questi mesi in cui gran parte degli eventi di windsurf sono stati annullati, abbiamo saputo proporre video interviste in diretta live con collegamenti internazionali e ospiti davvero epici.
Ci piace inoltre osservare che tra gli ultimi articoli abbiamo presentato da un lato, in anteprima nazionale, il progetto futurista Zephir in cui la tecnologia piu’ avanzata dell’aerodinamica e’ finalmente messa a disposizione dello sport della tavola a vela con l’obiettivo di progettare le attrezzature del futuro sia per prestazioni estreme che per migliorare le prestazioni del grande pubblico (www.riwmag.com/albeau-verso-un-record-assoluto-speed/), e dall’altro un video portato come tema di esame universitario in cui Giulia, windsurfista neofita, dichiara il suo amore per il windsurf (www.riwmag.com/il-windsurf-come-cammino-spirituale-esame-a-scuola) …
Amore che riporta tutti noi indietro ai ricordi di quando abbiamo cominciato e che in modo unico ci lega ai grandi campioni del nostro sport che ci fanno sognare con le loro imprese sportive …
In un anno cosi’ difficile, lento, pieno di ostacoli e imprevisti, augurare ancora una volta tanto vento e tante onde sembra ormai banale e quasi fuori luogo …
Quest’anno invece, dopo aver doverosamente ringraziato le aziende sostenitrici di RIWmag
(ZZSurf, Loft Sails, Unifiber, Patrik Boards, NonSoloMute, Severne Sails , Fanatic, Duotone, AV Boards , Boot),
i suoi redattori e collaboratori, ospiti e tutto il suo pubblico, ci sentiamo di dover augurare per queste feste e per il nuovo anno semplicemente la migliore salute possibile e di poter ancora coltivare nel proprio cuore quell’amore intenso che tutti noi abbiamo provato quando neofiti ci siamo avventurati nello sport piu’ bello del mondo!

RIWmag: the 2020 balance and end of year wishes
It has been a difficult, slow year, full of obstacles and unexpected events and not only for the world of windsurfing …
We all had to adapt and improvise to face a new unimaginable reality before, or rather, imaginable only in one of those apocalyptic films in which the end of the world is expected …
And if we have to go back in mind to those days when almost a year ago we began to hear about Covid but it still seemed a distant threat, within a few days we found ourselves overwhelmed by this storm with the same unpreparedness as shown in the best film plots …
At the first lockdown we reacted with energy and creativity also out of a sense of responsibility towards our public, both to entertain them but also to give a concrete sign that life must go on …
In all honesty, the tiredness of all those energies spent to compensate for the adversities of the new everyday life, to compensate for a life that suddenly became too virtual and too little real, and a second lockdown accompanied by the fear of new alternate closures in the the next few months have made us lose the ingenuity of being able to return soon to our pre-covid lifestyle …
Despite this bitter taste in the mouth, we like to remember that in these months in which most of the windsurfing events have been canceled, we have been able to propose live video interviews with international connections and truly epic guests.
We also like to observe that among the latest articles we have presented on the one hand, as a national preview, the futurist Zephir project in which the most advanced aerodynamic technology is finally made available to the sport of sailboarding with the aim of designing the equipment of the future both for extreme performances and to improve the performance of the general public (www.riwmag.com/albeau-verso-un-record-assoluto-speed/), and on the other hand a video brought as a university exam theme in which Giulia, a novice windsurfer, declares her love for windsurfing (www.riwmag.com/il-windsurf-come-cammino-spirituale-esame-a-scuola) …
Love that brings us all back to the memories of when we started and that in a unique way binds us to the great champions of our sport who make us dream with their sporting achievements …
In such a difficult, slow year, full of obstacles and unexpected events, once again wishing lots of wind and lots of waves seems banal and almost out of place …
This year, however, after having dutifully thanked the supporting Companies of RIWmag
(ZZSurf, Loft Sails, Unifiber, Patrik Boards, NonSoloMute, Severne Sails , Fanatic, Duotone, AV Boards , Boot),
its editors and collaborators, guests and all its audience, we feel we have to wish for these holidays and for the new year simply the best possible health and to still be able to cultivate in our hearts that intense love that we all felt when we were newbies and ventured into the most beautiful sport in the world!
